Ethereal: Behind the Scenes

Friday I attended another shoot coordinated by Cobalt Studios! We all met at Rooster Rock in the Gorge (the nearest town is Corbett) and chatted for a few minutes as a group before getting right to work. While the rest of the photographers in attendance wandered into the woods, I was an opportunist and chose a beautiful tree tunnel that separated the upper and lower parking lots.
Upon initial look, it didn't seem like much of a location, but I had a creative vision and knew that it would be too easy to edit out any unwanted cars from the background. Even though limiting background noise/distractions is often more ideal, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to create beautiful ethereal portraits centered between leading lines of lush trees. That, and it was already 90* at only 12pm, so shade was also a highly considered factor in my choice of set up spot.
The group of models in attendance were all fabulous, and we had a fantastic time creating gorgeous portraits despite the heat. I kept my lighting set-up simple with a single 25" beauty dish paired with my Xplor600. For editing, I did light retouching and used AI Generate in Adobe Lightroom to realistically fill in the areas where the parked cars were visible in the images.
Below are a few fun behind-the-scenes shots of me at work, and the final results!

A few of the final images!
